Applegarth is the perfect romantic hideaway for a couple, or a cozy cottage for a single.  Reminiscent of a Victorian carriage house, it sits in back of a private fenced orchard, surrounded by stunning miniature gardens.

 

The main room is a bed-sitter with antique queen-size spindle bed, comfy wing chairs in the sitting area, large windows for lots of light, air conditioning in summer, and heating for chilly autumn days and evenings.

 

Features include: an air-jet tub for two with overhead rainfall showerhead, fully equipped galley kitchen, window-seat dining nook, a beautiful lawn with gazebo through an atrium door, a large gas grill and bistro table at the back door, and an outdoor fire bowl for campfires. Fine linens, bath items and paper products are provided. We also stock the kitchen cupboards with basics, and leave a selection of movies for the VCR/DVD player and music for the CD/tape player/radio.  Basic satellite TV is provided.

 

Applegarth guests have exclusive use of a private shale beach and lovely deck with a screened room, both a minute's walk away from their door.  Guests also have exclusive use of a dock, off-shore swim platform and mooring.  For lovers of sandy beaches, we provide free passes to the nearby Alburgh Dunes State Park.
